Tampa Bay Buccaneers Participate in 2015 Cut for a Cure Event

For the last two years, Brian Greenspoon has practiced personal injury and medical malpractice law in his role as managing attorney at Greenspoon Dougherty, PLLC, in Deerfield Beach, Florida. In his free time, Brian Greenspoon follows a number of local sports teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Buccaneers have supported the Pediatric Cancer Foundation through its annual Cut for a Cure Charity Challenge since 2013. Each year, the event aims to raise money for childhood cancer cure research. Between May 22 and June 2, 2015, Buccaneers fans and community members were invited to contribute to the team’s online fundraising goal of $15,000.

In celebration of its 40th NFL season, the Buccaneers then invited the 40 fans who donated the most money to participate in a head-shaving event at One Buc Place on June 9, 2015. Attendees could have their own heads shaved or could watch a number of Buccaneers players cut his hair. Along with veteran players Andrew DePaola and Michael Koenen, several rookie team members had their heads shaved for the cause. Overall, the Buccaneers raised more than $30,000 for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
